The pumps use a high efficiency impeller with a unique floating seal ring design to maintain maximum efficiencies over the life of the pump without adjustment. Goulds 1ST1E9C4 features a high efficiency motor. The standard John Crane Type 21 seal has carbon versus silicon-carbide faces, Viton elastomers, and 316 stainless metal parts. Motors are NEMA standard with totally enclosed fans and a rugged ball bearing design.
