It consists of a volume mix of 40% TCD-1 and 60% A-399 and essentially removes all dissolved solids except For dissolved carbon dioxide and silica. The dyed cation resin component of this mixed bed is self-indicating to determine resin exhaustion. The resin turns from purple to amber upon exhaustion.
